T.P. Mira-Echeverria is an Argentinian
writer of science
fiction, new weird, urban fantasy, steampunk, and biopunk. He holds
a PhD in Philosophy. He researches and teaches workshops on the
relationship between science fiction, fantasy genres, philosophy, and
mythology, as well as on dissidence and Queer art.
His
stories have been published by international magazines such as
Strange
Horizons, The Dark Magazine, Constelación, Super Sonic, Axxón,
Ficción Científica, Libros Prohibidos, Próxima, NM, miNatura,
etc. He also publishes articles and essays in specialized media such
as Cuasar,
NM, Origen Cuántico, Signos Universitarios, El hilo de Ariadna,
etc.
Winner
of the OEI 2024 science and technology short story contest. Winner of
the 2019 Ignotus Award (awarded by the Spanish Association of
Fantasy, Science Fiction and Horror) in the best article category for
“New Weird: otra realidad es posible”. Finalist of the 2019
Domingo Santos Award (AEFCFT) for best short story. Winner of the
Alucinadas 2014 call. Finalist of the 2013 Ignotus Award in the best
short story category, among other awards.
