Haley Young is a writer, full-time traveler, and insatiable dog nerd. A lifelong animal lover, she dove headfirst into the dog training world when she adopted a shy-but-sweet blue heeler from her hometown’s local shelter. Haley writes about animals on her Paws and Reflect blog and for various other pet publications. She spends her time learning more about canine cognition, enrichment, and emotions on both ends of the leash, as well as navigating Scout’s fear-based dog reactivity, fostering multiple shelter pups, and making it a point to play each day.
