Trauma-informed approaches to leadership seek to understand and consider an individual's holistic life experiences, particularly negative consequences of trauma, when determining how to best support and interact with them in the workplace.

Janet Crum is Director, Health Sciences Library at the University of Arizona. She has held a variety of leadership and management positions in academic and health sciences libraries since 2002, including department head roles at Oregon Health and Science University (Portland, OR) and Northern Arizona University (Flagstaff, AZ) and served as Director of Library Services at City of Hope National Medical Center in Duarte, CA.

David H. Ketchum has more than twenty years of academic library experience. He earned a Master of Library and Information Science degree in 2008 and has held a variety of appointed and elected leadership positions within libraries and professional library organizations. David is currently the Director of Access Services at the University of Oregon Libraries. David's professional interests include operational management, library public service, employee development, and strategic planning.
