This volume from the staff of the Gila River Indian Community's Cultural Resource Management Program represents the first publication by the program of some of the vast numbers of artifacts collected by survey crews during the inventory of the 146,000-acre reservation. It reports on nearly 1,000 projectile points or point preforms recovered from 195 of the more than 1,000 recorded sites. The volume includes detailed metric data and photographs of the points described so that other researchers interested in prehistoric and historic lithic technology will have the opportunity to build upon the initial conclusions reached by Loendorf and Rice. A CD-ROM with full color scans of all the points involved in the study is included with the volume.
